Quicker throttle upgrade
I've got an 01 sv650 that I picked up a few months ago. I'm getting used to the bike pretty well. I'd like to find a quicker (less travel) setup for the throttle it seems to be a bit of a pain to get it all the way to full throttle. I've heard of a few guys fitting a throttle grip from a kawi zx6. Does anyone have any good info on this?

I've recently done this. These are parts you'll need...
Throttle tube/grip - 5SL262400100 Opposite grip (to match if required) - 4YR262410200

Re: Quicker throttle upgrade
Hey guys thanks for the info! I'll definitely order it up. Can't believe it's so cheap. I've only had a Harley and a Ducati before, with those it doesn't matter how simple the part is its always more than a hundred bucks.

Re: Quicker throttle upgrade
Not only are the spares cheaper, but you'll find you need far less of them......

Re: Quicker throttle upgrade
They are Yamaha part number, I'd suggest you try a Yamaha dealer perhaps.
Edit- I've just tried a google search, even Amazon do them.
