Trying to sort out fork sticktion on the CRF250L. I'm not sure if it's just the long travel suspension and the way the forks sit, but it definitely feels like sticktion, packing down braking into corners and not coming back up affecting the handling. Adding grease and pumping the forks to regrease the seals hasn't helped much. Got a feeling it might be new seals time. Hoping it's that and nothing more serious.

Nothing is adjustable unfortunately. I doubt the oil has been changed from the factory 5wt added 8 years ago.

Today I have spent way longer than I expected swapping out my rear tyre on the GSXR, so long I ran out of time to do the front. It should have been an easy job. Remove rear brake, check. Undo axle nut, check. Remove spindle, not a furkin chance. Completely seized solid, it took a lot of persuading to get it to budge. Mostly of the not very gentle kind. It can't have been removed in years. I was quite relieved when it finally budged. Spend a while removing all the corrosion from most surfaces. It's all back together now with plenty of grease and copperslip.
At least the front should be easier as I know it was removed in October when the fork had its epic service.

Checked fork alignment on the CRF to see if that's causing the stiction problems. All still the same after unfortunately so ordering new seals. Probably time for new oil anyway I imagine if the air filter is anything to judge the rest of the bike by. The one I took out today is the original Honda one. I'm surprised the engine was able to actually get any air through it.
