CB650R with E-clutch
"The Missenden Flyer" did a review of the Honda CB650R with E-Clutch but had so many questions from viewers he did a second video answering them via demonstrations:

Re: CB650R with E-clutch
It's an interesting concept and I certainly hope other manufacturers bring similar to the market soon so we have more choice. I would quite like to try a DCT-style auto and i'm surprised it's not on more of the Honda range, but then if they're potentially going the e-clutch route instead then I can see why the current DCT models are limited. Chances are it is not yet practical for smaller capacity stuff too, but I'm guessing.
Just as more cars are now only available as autos, especially the hybrid and full EV's, i would not be too surprised to see it filtering down to more bike models. I'm happy with manual bikes for now in reality and if I do pull the trigger on a new Strom 800RE I may just turn the shift assist off, as I found my habit of preloading the lever ahead of an upshift meant I kept changing up before I expected to... Although I'd probably get used to it, just I eventually stopped trying change gear when I got an auto car a few years ago.

Re: CB650R with E-clutch
The E-clutch is an interesting idea and would help some riders with physical problems. BMW have a new system called ASA which looks very similar.
Also useful if you do a lot of commuting in heavy traffic it would save on wrist ache. Sent from my SM-T510 using Tapatalk
