A little ride and a near miss.
Daughter Eleri and I jumped on the bike for a ride to the Mountain Warehouse shop over near Chirk this afternoon to get her a sleeping bag liner for the hike tomorrow.
A short but pleasant ride, except for the bit where just out of Llanfyllin some blind, brain dead, bell-end pulled out of a farm drive, straight across the road in front of us, despite the fact that we were on a large blue motorbike with the lights on and the horn blaring. It was too late to brake but I just managed to squeeze through the gap between their nearside front wing and the verge. They made no attempt to slow or stop, even when it was obvious that we were there. Fortunately we weren't travelling at any great speed, about 50 - 55mph. The air was pretty blue and some choice hand gestures were made . Ferking eejits. Beats me how some people are even in possession of a set of car keys. |

So glad you are OK Gary, what a blooming scare! Well done on avoiding the eejit! This is why I have dash cams fitted, so this kind of driving can be reported. Sounds like they were completely oblivious to your presence which makes them dangerous.

well done Gary for avoiding what could have been a serious one. Yup the standard of driving is getting worse and something needs to be done about making the driving test harder and resits every 10 years.

pleased you got away with it Gary. Back when I was 16 I TBoned a car in similar circumstances (shot out in front of me and then stopped. Bad driving then, bad driving now. Somethings stay the same

Re: A little ride and a near miss.
Glad you're both OK Gary. Another vote for a camera from me - a simple action camera, like the one I had on Hugh the other year, is pretty good and I've just ordered an Innov front/rear setup for Bullseye.
