Bike insurance time again - SV650.org

Been with Carole Nash for a couple of years but this year my premium has risen from £109 to £133. Just done a check on the money supermarket comparison site and Bennetts have come up with a quote of £72. So, Bennetts here we come.

Have you checked the compulsory excess? For me; Bennettts £350, Carole Nash £50. When your bike is only worth about £1000 to £1100, this is a significant factor. I assume you have not declared any mods to get that price, and, generally you cannot declare mods on comparison sites for bikes, yet I can clearly see from your avatar that you have mods; does this not worry you?

The compulsory excess is £250, the only mod to the bike since I've had it is the silencer (I don't count replacing worn brake discs and handlebar levers as mods) and the lower fairing was on the bike when I bought it.

I have mentioned the silencer and fairing lowers to different companies on several occasions in the past and they've never been interested.

So no, not worried.
