Love the Kinks. First band I ever saw live at the grand old age of 7. It was at the ABC, Castle Street Dover.

He certainly is. Everything from proto-metal (All Day & All of the Night) through to brilliant, evocative pop (Waterloo Sunset) via satire and social commentary (Sunny Afternoon, Dedicated Follower of Fashion). And that's just counting the hits.
