Default Yay! its back at last!!

Well.. it took them long enough...

2 and a bit months after it was knocked over... I now have my bike back

It had been standing for so long, that the chain rusted over The garage gave it a good oiling, but the odd link was still a tad on the stiff side, so it promptly had a good oiling when I got home, several times....

It now looks fine.. and Ive been gently (not!) getting use to it again...

Bit of a difference from the Nekkids riding position to the S'... almost came a cropper when I picked the thing up!

Only one sad point to this, looks like the paint on the frame got wore off a tad by a tie down so I shall have to find some paint that matches the frame, and do a bit of touching up..

Almost came a cropper on it already.. going round a corner in the dark.. which got tighter, and tighter..... and remembered how to crank the thing over that far almost straight away

I'd get on the blower & complain... Get 'em to re-paint it

Bugger looks like the garage missed a bit of damage to the bike.....

I was doing some general bits and bobs on the bike, and one of the side panel thingys below the seat would not sit in properly, and would pop out, even when the bolt was tightened up...

Looking around, the bottom of the tank was no longer central... popped the tank up, and low and behold, the hinge for the tank is buggered Its bent over a good 1/2 inch... and a few of the bolts are very loose...

Phoned the garage, and they said they didnt even think of looking at that, but would see if they could get the insurance company to cough that up. Failing that, get it done as cheap as possible when I take it for a service, as I am not holding my breath on the insurance company!

Ive been looking at the bits on the hire bike.. sadly the one on that is a tad rusted!

Glad you got your bike back at long last mate! I should be around next weekend (saturday afternoon/all day sunday) if you fancy a blat, gimme a shout.

I went for a good run this weekend, crossed over with your route quite a bit. Some very fast roads when it's dry .

Glad you've got your bike back but it's a pity about the bits the repairer missed. I find it so anoying that these so called professionals don't do their job properly on the first place. Hope you get it sorted to your satisfaction.
