Default stupid tax disc holder question

So.....

Back to the daft questions! The bike I bought came with one on those car holders on the windshield. Needless to say that was the first mod I did before leaving the shop!

So I have a tax haven but I can't work out where to put it

On my scoot it was really obvious, but I can't see any bolts on the lhs that look small enough.

any suggestions/ pics would be most apprieciated

Mine is on the front bolt of the chain guard...behind the heel plate.

People put them on the front brake pipe bolt, but i have seen the metal ones pierce the rad in the event of an off.

Legally it has to be on the left hand side of the bike and in front of the riders footpeg.

screw that!
bikes are given alot of leeway in that regard, anyway. I personally put mine on the side of the radiator, but I would have no issues with putting it in my wallet if it was still legible.

Most waterproof tax disc holders aren't...

So, loosen the two screws holding the nearside pillion footrest hangar. Take out the rearmost screw. Slip the holder bracket between the hangar and the frame, with the tax disc bit pointing to the rear. Put the screw back in and tighten.

Holder is tucked up under the seat fairing, nicely visible, but out of the rain and spray and not too easy to steal.

(see other threads about whether to display a photocopy and keep the original in a safe place)

mine's on the side of the radiator too, but only because the dealer put it there. I can't see anywhere better to put it myself, but It looks like it's getting a bit damp with the condensation..

I wish I knew that would happen before i hit a lamb last year. Big sturdy alloy holder buckled and did it's best to halve the rad too. Didn't actually burst it but there is a big dent.

Mine is still on the left fork but points rearwards not upwards!!
I didn't know it was supposed to be infront of the rider peg? I think the bike came from the garage new with it on the chainguard bolt.

Mine is on the bolt for the chain guard behind the heel plate.

If you are going to get done for it deing behind the foot peg you will also get a ticket for having 2 eyes.
