Chris, just choose a packet of seeds from http://www.chileseeds.co.uk/ They have hints and tips on growing etc. It's cheap and easy and you already have the expensive bit, the greenhouse!

I've just sowed mine today, heated tray in the dining room. Seven types,

Cheyenne Chilli
Demon Red
Goat Horn
Maya Pimento
Padron Chilli Pepper
Ring of Fire
Tongues of Fire.

I chickened out of the Peter Peppers, I just couldn't face explaining them to the kids!
Imagine it,

"Dad, why does that plant look like it's covered in willies?" then asking to take some to school for show and tell.

Social services would have a field day!!

Have yours germinated yet Sarah? The early Jalapenos were awesome last year, I smoked a load, used them in salsa, salads, on pizza. They made superb sauces too! Loads of fruit.

Yes. They are in unheated propagators on the windowsill, but there's a radiator under the window and i think that they like that!

Not too bad Sarah. Good germination rates this year, soaking the seeds in cold weak tea seemed to work. I potted them on from the seed plugs a week ago.

Mine are indesperate need of (re)potting. They are currently still in the seed trays that i sowed them in. Looking pretty healthy though. I'll do some repotting and and pics in a bit

I'm late onto the wagon again this year- going to plant seeds this weekend.

Anything I can do to speed up germination?

I have purple jalapenos, purple princes and cayenne.
