this is sorta to do with this thread ... but according to racetech the stock spring on an sv650 k3> is for a rider of 66lb in weight ... that would equate to someone weighing .....4 3/4ish stone

To be fair, Maxton would probably say 'use our shock' cos they make them, but Richard has been very helpful about the Viffer and would no doubt be very informative. Maxton will be getting some hard earned from me this winter.

all you have to do is move the under tray back, this is the reason why the mod needs to be done

that pic was taken before i moved the undertray back

i basically moved the undertray back, which moved the battery and tool box back making clearance for shock
Have you got any pics of how you moved it back and what it looks like now?

ordered front springs from maxton "they're made to order, so they suit your size and riding style"... top banana. I asked about whether the gsxr thou shock would have any envy over the front and he said something along the lines of:

"the gsxr thou shock is quite a cheap/basic shock for such a flagship bike. it's not exactly bad and it will be an upgrade over what you've got on the bike at the moment, but if you really wanted to make it special you'd be better off looking at a zx10r shock or something from the yamaha's. having said that, if you all you want is some adjustability and to improve a bit over what you've currently got, it'll be more than adequate considering what you paid for it."

top guy, really helpful

borrowed this from another thread as posted by miles:

Nut - 09159-10115
bolt - 09103-10143

are these the correct partnumbers for the gsxr shock bolt & nut to fit the gsxr shock to my k5 pointer? and is it something I could get from suzukispares?

yes ..

http://fiche.ronayers.com/Index.cfm/...CUSHION_LEVER_

you also need to turn the bolt round the other way from original shocky (looking from back of bike insert right threw to left)

if you don't then the nut fouls on the linkage... i know i have done it... i also ground the nut and bolt down a little but i never needed to...

you can get the parts from any suzuki dealer
