Once again the beautiful weather distracted me by a bike ride , from getting on with this, spent a couple of hours this afternoon though, got the oil system buttoned up filled and spun the lump over to prime it, fitted both rads, greased the rear axle and adjusters and fitted the front sprocket, modded the rear mudguard so the ecu and relay would fit under the seat, and fitted the rear brake back.

a few more pics.

Cheers Mark.

No. Because it inevitably means that you can't sit on it and ride it away.

I mean, just supposing, for instance, you went to look at a shiny R1 with a view to purchasing it... to find the owner standing beside the aforementioned constituent parts professing with glee: "is it me, or does this look really cool?".

Glad it's all coming together Mark.

well that was frustrating.

Wednesday saw me get most of it done to the point of firing it up, fitting the carb was a real pain as it only fits one way and if you didn't know you'd think it to big to fit (had to remove loads of bits to fit it) and the airbox was also a pain, anyway, today put the tank on, turned the key , and pressed the button.........................., turns over beautifully, lovely fat spark, timing spot on (set it one tooth before and after and then back it normal), so it looks like a fuel issue and I'll have to remove the airbox and carb in the morning( which also means stripping the subframe and evrything attacthed), Oh well, fitting the gucci bits will have to wait a while longer.

Cheers Mark.
