In fact on the computer side nothing is worse than windows 7 fanboys (self proclaimed computer experts), saying how much better 7 is than vista it etc, when in reality it uses more memory and is basically vista with a different name.

Apples make high end products, people will always be jealous, whats worse is when people i used to work with used to have a dig at me about "wasting" my money on high end computer, yet these people smoked 20 fags a day.

Just to clarify, I only use Windows 7 because I play games on PC and no other OS supports them, otherwise id be on Linux at home.

As to 7 vs Vista, your joking, the kernal is HUGELY different! Vista had one large kernal, and win 7 has many smaller ones to do the separate parts, hence why win 7 crashes well never. Another thing you mention which is rubbish, Win 7 uses less memory than Vista, not sure where you got the opposite from. There are also very few warning like vista had.

As to the second part, I can build or even buy a PC/Laptop with similar spec to an Mac for about half the price! That means I have a lot of money to buy MUCH better software than what comes with OSX. Or I could install some linux goodness (typing this on my Ubuntu Laptop) and that will save even more money, and there are a LOAD of software completely free which will do all you say.

No with Apple you get OSX on some reasonable hardware for a lot of premium, its something that people like though because its easier, which is a good sale point to be fair. But im not one for spending money for something I dont need.

What is the point in these threads? They always go off topic and just make people argue and fall out.

Webpage: Notepad IS all you need, ok so I would install VIM for Windows to be honest.

PDF: At the rate that Adobe changes Acrobat Reader I bet the OSX user will be downloading a new version out of the box anyway. Also all the laptops I have had to commission for work lately have come with Reader pre-installed.

Oh and yes I have ben using Unix/Linux for about that long.

The other thing to consider is that Microsoft are stopped from shipping better than basic versions of software that they make due to anti-trust cases.

FoxIt reader is free and much faster/smaller than Adobe's carp anyway...
