OK, so new headache!! On a hunch I've just been to collect these, I believe they're from a k4 gsxr 600. But I could be wrong.
![]() ![]() Having said that, the only reference picture I have so far is this rather unfortunate picture, looks like bike 18 has the same ones. ![]() Can anybody point me to more pictures or if you have some, please PM me. After a quick throw on the bike, it would seem I need to increase the top holes to allow the wide radiator to still fit. I heard, that taking 2" out of the middle is the usual route to fitment, as I'm not that well practiced in fibreglassing, its not really an option for me! Sell on, or have a play?? The main thing is to make them fit so that SVGTI stops laughing at me for buying more carp!! Last edited by Redmist; 05-01-16 at 10:19 PM. |

There have been a few on here that have fitted GSXR race fairings to the SV. I believe you can buy a special front subframe that makes the whole process a damn site easier. Give JHS racing a shout and they should be able to point you in the right direction.

It's a track bike - it's going in the gravel sometime.
No fairings, nothing that doesn't make it go, stop and let you hold on. Everything else is superfluous and waiting to get smashed.

However, even if its purely just for experience, I would like to have a go making it fit. So I think all I have to do is, modify the subframe mounting points, make the holes big enough to clear the radiator and then, if the top part is flexible enough, I cud take a strip out of the middle of the bottom fairing in order to bring the fairing into the bike a bit. Again pics would be great if anybody can point me at some! |

very unlikely that you need to start splicing a section out of the middle of those fairings, just fit it up and make some brackets if necessary.
Watch out for handlebar clearance and cable routing. JHS also do a straight fit SV fairing, pricey but robust and fixable. p.s. buy a fibreglass kit anyway, one of those large kits from Halfords ![]() |

OK, I found some very similar fairing pics, shown here in case anybody reads this in the future and needs them!
