Sid Squid was telling me that the little bike company Sachs nearly released a bike called the bomb.

The Sachs Bomb.

I like that...

Genius.
How could they have passed that opportunity up...

I suppose they are the same people that used to make bike chains and hubs and mechs and things?

I have actually always wondered about that logic.
I have met a few lads over here who are not that clear on the Triumph origins. Presumably triumph know this. I wonder was this a sort of suggestion that maybe it might be a little bit American?

Or am I thinking a little deeply here.
It is sort of amazing though, that a few guys here, who know their bikes a bit, basically have nothing more than vague ideas as to where they are from.

Unless its a Ducati.
Of course.
I listed off a load of English bikes for some guy a while back, he had heard of all of them, but thought a couple of them were American bikes.

Triumph was kept in business for years by the American export market.Thats why they used Yank friendly names like Daytona and Bonneville.

All good uns, lads. I think Tuono means thunder, Virago means curve, and Testastretta means narrow head (engine).
Jon.
