that is a good point.. it is an orger AR and a lot of folk are bringing mates or mates of mates.. which is good.. as long as they adhere to basic common sense in terms of riding and the drinking and fun .. we have no recourse for anyone who is not an orger - ie ban from site etc .. after all it is an AR and not a free for all

I have a recourse Quiff... If anyone that is present at the AR on the invitation of one of our members displays behaviour at any point during the weekend that:- a/ puts others in a dangerous situation (on the rideout) or b/ is anti-social in a manner that is a distressing to other forum members; I will speak to the forum member that the person concerned is in attendance with and hope that a few quiet words can be had and that the issue can be resolved with the minimum of fuss. If someone acts in a way that would see them nicked on the streets for bad behaviour, i.e. drunk and disorderly and causing significant distress, upset, fear or indeed jeaopardising our welcome at the venue; they will be dealt with as if they were in a town centre somewhere as our venue is not exempt from the laws of the land! This is something that honestly, I am 100% will not be an issue at all...but just so that you know...I've had to deal with this kind of thing before, so can assure you that anything like this will be handled in a way that the majority of people probably won't even know what's happening. This forum is an awesome place, so it won't be an issue which is why I do not feel the need to post a thread highlighting this. We all know it's going to be one giant organ love fest anyway.....we should be more worried about any guests running for the hills...lol |

Re: AR10 Chat
Thanks Cheryl..
I feel safe that i wont get ravaged in my tent at night now. of course. one could reduce your eloquent response to 3 words.... SEND IN BEAR no- serious. I appreciate that it is all in hand.. , I know it wasnt going to turn into a facebook party mum and dad are away and the house gets wrecked .. but. I had some worries over so many none orgers attending but of course they are welcome and they will surely after the fab AR become orgers. .. or like you say they will be frightened off .!

Re: AR10 Chat
Rich...I just PM'd this to someone saying the same thing, and it's made me really smile, so I'm going to share it here too...
Well, given that we have Hovis upstairs and all my family that are no longer here are Welsh and will be looking down, they'll all be trying too. In fact.....this may sound weird to you, but I'll risk it...When the first of my cousins died when we were 14, my aunty and uncle insisted that everyone (apart from immediate family) wear yellow to the funeral. Unbelievably, over 300 people turned up as she was so well loved at school and in afterschool activities. The Vicar said, "I can see that Elly represented the sun in everyones lives and that is made clear to us today, so let the sun shine on all her memories and the sun be with you as she she will be, from her seat in heaven". Now, you may not be religious, but that just makes me think, with Hovis and Elly and all who I love and miss up there....we should be alright xxx |
