I know where to send my Certo for cleaning then! Been chilling out in the sun, taking some shots with the Zenit TTL. Would be great to see some of your results Yoko.

What button were you tapping?

Tapping the shutter button itself. Like I'd do with the Minolta or digitals. I didn't realise I needed to press the little housing around the shutter button.
I'll post the results up when I can get them processed. I might wait until I've finished a couple more films though. That way, They'll all go on 1 CD and I'll save enough to put towards something new.

Where's a good place to store photos? I've got 1TB of onedrive storage through work but I don't think I can share files on that externally. I notice you guys have Flickr. Any good? Otherwise it's Google I guess.

Google Drive? Flickr is pretty good, large community for all types. Found the Halina info there for rebuilding. Will dig out my OM to figure out what you mean.

Strewth. Yep Flickr isn't bad, I mainly use it to make sharing easier and to post repair series.
Some goodies, Yoke to you fancy a ride to Scotland? You could sell the others and keep the OM2n:

Seems your Konica is a rare old beast. Can't believe I lost that blade. Popped the Hanimex onto the FX-D, adds quite a bit of weight.

Tell me about it! Not sure it's worth >£100 though.

Yoko - sorry missed the B&W post. Check the manufacturer's data, the only roll I've used was Ilford FP4, and the guide said you could underexpose by 2 stops or over expose by up to 6. 6! Also noticeable reciprocity failure. All good to know if you are wondering quite what to do about exposure for a particular shot.

Hey Yoko, don't follow what you mean about the shutter speed thing. Mine displays the speed selected by the camera. Can't force it to come up. Turns off if you change the ring on the left side to off. Will keep hunting for you Johnny. Will do more boot sales come pay day. Want a Contina.

There's Google photos now. Not quite sure how it works though. Seemingly, unlimited storage as long as the files are not too big. 16mp+ or something like that. But I'm not sure whether they compress things a bit.

It works OK; displays the speed but goes off after a minute or so. I was pressing the shutter to try to get it to come back on again. But it's not that. You need to press that little silver thing around the outside of the shutter button. That brings it back up again without the need to keep turning the left side ring off and on.
I know this now, after the event.
