Today I fitted some bronze fairings and tank to replace my tatty vandalised ones. Also some new throttle cables, grips and levers.

All that's left now is front brakes, axle, and seat covers need stapling on!

Started fitting new gaskets on the Raptor, was an advisory on last years mot that there was a slight blow (they were being generous lol) gasket was non-existent, £10 each and I needed all three. Fitted new clamps as well while it was apart

I ripped out the piezo speaker under the car dash that screams bloody murder if I decide to open my door with the keys in the ignition. Downside is I won't know if I leave my lights on, but it's worth it.

Retensioned the front cct on the VFR. Tricky to get to just like the SV. Found the internal spring was kinked. Back on now and nice and quiet.

Started oil change ready for my camping trip to Devon next weekend. Letting it drain overnight and put it back together tomorrow before doing the oil change and filter service on the wife's scenic.

why are you leaving it to drain overnight. there is absolutely no need.

So bike sorted and ready for my ride to Devon for next weekend and wife's car sorted for summer. Whichever brightspark designed the pollen filter location on the MK3 scenic has obviously never set foot near a workshop!

Owner of a mkII scenic here, they also have an interesting pollen filter location as well as the air filter. I've had to solder a new relay in the electric handbrake two days before a 4.5hr trip to cornwall last week but that was more to do with my own error.

My MK2 was at the back of the bulkhead 3 minute job. The mk3 you have to remove all plastics from around the steering wheel and then remove the clutch pedal absolute joke about half an hour but at least the smell when using the air cons cleared now 😁
