Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
Wife found a set of keys and handed them into the police a couple of weeks ago.
A bloke rang this afternoon to say thanks for handing them in, he said he'd donate some money to a charity of our choice. Refreshing to see the better side of human nature.

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
That's nice, a lady tracked me down via Facebook and posted my travel card back to me, with debit card and cash. It saved me a lot of hassle. I did buy her a Hotel Chocolat gift to say thank you.

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
Yes, I've done the same when I lost my old Psion computer & someone brought it back to me & I've found a phone before, and got a bottle of wine for my trouble.
Guess your surname isn't Smith, otherwise tracking you down via Faceache would have been a bit trickier

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
I feel guilty now. I lost my purse with credit cards and cash while riding home just before I took a holiday back in April. I re-rode my route but couldn't find it. When I got back from my holiday, I went to the police to report it and was told that it had been found by a local man. He researched the internet and found my facebook page from my bus pass but, of course, I was out of the country. When I collected the purse from him, I was profuse in my thanks but I never thought to give him a present.

Actually she matched up my Facebook non private cricket pics to the Lord's website where I publish my email and phone number, I'm pretty easy to find. I'm sure thanks alone were appreciated. My lady posted my stuff back registered post as I was working at the Test match and she said she knew I'd be really busy which was so thoughtful.
