Mine was £155 3rd party fire and theft, I'm 25 and have had a car license since 2003.
It was about £250 fully comp. Was going to go fully comp, but they'd probably write it off for a broken fairing...

I decided to go fully comp on both the last bike and this one.
I thought about 3rd party but I was unlucky enough to be in a hit and run last year and the driver is still contesting it and denying that they were there, even though I have witnesses.
The bonus of the fully comp is that I have been able to replace the bike quicker.
My insurance has gone up and at the moment I have lost my no claims but even with a claim pending my insurance was £330FC with £1000 helmet and leather cover, any bike and courtesy bike thrown in. (£150 excess)
Oh and I'm 32

I wanted to go fully comp, just don't have the cash flow for it at the moment, with me being a student and all... It's rather frustrating. Fully comp would have given me more peace of mind. I have the "ride any bike" thing, but i opted out of the helmet and leathers, european cover and the personal injury stuff, all due to cost.

I really am on a budget

you think you've got it bad? my mum had to pay for my insurance and im paying her back monthly! i hate being a broke student, should of not gone college and gone into full time work.
