Just phoned Maidstone Motorliners Ltd http://www.motoliner.com/price.htm and spoke to him about my off, and from what I've expalined the guy said the SV frams are strong, but because of the front wheel buckle/split and fork snaps he reckons that the frame could be out. Unfortunately they can't check the frame unless it has forks in it, so that counts my bike out.

Could well be listing parts very shortly guys n girls - as I don't really want to take the risk of not knowing.

I'm sure someone has a fork and yoke set they could lend you to get it checked.

I'll lend you a SRAD set if you want but you'll have to put a different top bearing in it temporarily and postage will be a few quid.

YC thanks for the extended jesture of help, I'm going wait before I bite the bullet and break it up. Although, this does seem the easier option for me, as I'm not very good with motorbike mechanics anyway, and I would also need to strip the bike down to the following requirements:-

"To undergo frame straightening the motorcycle has to be stripped down. We require the motorcycle is a certain state, which is all the farings stripped off, all plastics around the chassis area, the fuel tank and the whole exhaust system has to be taken off. All that is left is a rolling chassis, with the engine left in".

Then parting with...£150 and transportation expenses to and from the location.

think the only area where you might struggle is the exhaust system taking off as the header bolts have a tendency to be shiit. Plastics come off fairly easily and the petrol tank is only like 2 bolts at the front and one or two at the back. I'm no mechanic (ask YC) but there's very little which can go wrong with bodywork

The only way bodywork goes wrong is when silly people ruin a perfectly good motorcycle by fitting any.

Well I will defo struggle here, as the exhaust front pipe has bent up with a nice hole in it for good measure causing it to spread out - so I actually can't get the socket set head on it to undo it, so would need to saw it off then try and hammer out the pipe away from the bolts.

or when you forget to re-connect the main plug from the headlights & clocks to the loom on the bike, and completely re-fit the upper fairing, only to have to remove it again for one silly little plug... really annoying, especially when you're against the clock and it's your birthday

Big hammer for the headers and lots of penetrating oil and heating/cooling cycles. file down the nut until you break the threads then tap it around. If it's proper stuck don't try and force it, snapped studs are a PITA
