I am tall and I am thin
Of an enviable hight
And I've been known to be quite handsome
In a certain angle and in certain light

no its certainly not about me but lyrically propably one of my favourite songs. I do hope the song is meant to be darkly funny, cause it does make me grin

Jeesh, just looked at my last two posts on this thread. It'd make you think I had a drink problem as both are about being in public houses.

Since he was small
Had no luck at all
Nothing came easy to him
Now it was time
He'd made up his mind
"This could be my last chance"
His boss said to him
"Now listen boy!
You're always dreaming
You've got no real ambition, you won't get very far
Sammy boy, don't you know who you are ?
Why can't you be happy at the Emerald bar ?"

Default Great Lyrics...

Go on now go walk out the door
just turn around now
'cause you're not welcome anymore
weren't you the one who tried to hurt me with goodbye
Did you think I'd crumble
Did you think I'd lay down and die
Oh no, not I
I will survive
Oh as long as I know how to love
I know I will stay alive
I've got all my life to live
I've got all my love to give
and I'll survive
I will survive (hey-hey)

That sound sort of Queen-ish. Am I wrong?

small bit of trivia, Gloria Gaynor had been in hospital with back surgery and was still in a back brace when she recorded 'i will survive'.

'Spread Your Wings' written by the bass player John Deacon, wrote some of the band's biggest hits 'You're My Best Friend' 'Another One Bites the Dust' 'I Want To Break Free' are all his and a great bassist as well in the mould of Bill Wyman and John Entwhistle, there but mostly in the background.
