You can try but make sure you don't need the phone for a few days ... just in case . I think they should send you a micro sim if you request one. Just like a replacement sim, I'm not sure it it's going to be free of charge though.

If you say you aren't getting as good a reception as you used to then they normally send you a new sim.

Well that's what Vodafone did to me.

Just ask for one. O2 are sending them to everyone who registers an interest regardless of whether you intend to upgrade or not.

Of course I am getting it - I held off from my upgrade back in february in the hope that the iphone4 would be released shortly - and I was right

also I have discovered that I am actually on abuisness rate instead of a consumer rate e-= probably the last time I said I was leaving them - introduced me to greater options at O2
I have a subsciption loyalty worth £7 a month which I will attempt to increase to £8 this time round as well as attempt to get the ONLINE only deals applied over the phone on the business retention departments line - they DO want to keep you
BUT it all depends on how much the layout is on the phone cost / rate

just listed my iphone 3g 8gb on ebay at 12.00 noon had a buy it now of 230 and it sold within 10 minutes lol ....

I only picked up my 3gs in May I was intending on waiting for this No.4 but my samsung died so I bit the bullet and figured if I get an 18month contract then by the time Im up for renual the 4gs or the 5g what ever they call it will be 6months old and through its teething problems.

I used the same thinking when I passed on the 3GS. I guess I'm now for a treat. Not sure when I'm going to get one though sine the preorder date has been moved to 14th now.
