I'm 25 now, 26 this year.

Met my GF at 16 whilst hanging around by mate who was going out with her cousin at the time. Just left school, was not looking for anyone really but it just happened.

Later on that year my mum moved to London to be closer to work, and offered me a choice to move with her or to find my own place. So I asked my GF to move in and we got our own place about 6 months later.

9 years now, 2 beautiful kids, had some real lows but right now we are closer than ever. Want to get married but lack the funds.

Looking back, its flown by. We've really gown up with each other, from 16 and jobless to a fully functioning family and my own business.

Hoping in another 10 years I'll be writing/thinking the same about the coming time together

Right, Jinxy.....Nic is a lass, granted, but she should not be treated like the majority of lasses you've dated in the past have been treated. By that, I mean she would much rather a few pints at a country pub in jeans than a night out for dinner in a dress. Yes, she can and does get dressed up and likes it, but prefers to be in jeans and t-shirt doing something casual, so I'd say for a first date, lunch sitting outside at a country pub and take your car or bike so you can talk about that and she doesn't have to talk about herself...yep, it's a wonderful thing. She'll talk cars and bikes til the cows come home...probably teach you a thing or two you didn't know and if you're a really good driver (fast, safe, good lines, good obs etc, take her for a spin but be prepared that if she takes the wheel, she'll probably be faster and better than you )

All in all, if I were a bloke....I'd be in there like swimwear...lol.

By the way, the last time I got two people together, they ended up married...happily!
