Quiff heads north to Scotland..

really nice. very homely.. very friendly.. very lived in like you are stayin in someones home so not la de da etc .. but loved it £25 each B and B the nightn - good value with an ace view..

I want to plug it in case anyone goes there cos it is owned by callum who has lived in Plockton all of his life and owns the seal boat. he stopped doing B and B and then his daughter Fioan who is soo lovely is studying inLondon to be an opera singer and she atarted the B and b to fund her college.. so she does it when she is home.. so if you need somewhere.. and you want an ace place then try here..

there a love in fact three pubs , a chippy, superb walks , lovely fish restauraunt.. and its real near to everywhere.

we will be goin back.. if you go or book mention Dave and Mandy the bikers from crewe.. they "might" remember me..

and the garden is really ecclectic.. there is a phone box in it.. about 30 foot above the B and b on the hillside.. ..

they have a cat .. so if you dont like cats fekiin unlucckeeee

so.. sorted in B and B and so we head off for Applecross and the ballach ne ba .. (or whatever it is called)


stopped on the way at loch summat as we heard there was a nice cake/coffee shop there..

saw the multistrada and the vfr like mine that we saw the previous saturday at green welly







yummy hot chocolate and a clever spoon holder mug !




enjoying the views and the silence.. lookin at a bumble bee




sat there enjoying the peace and a white van man pulls up.. reverses.. leaves his music on with window down and spoils the peace.. and I kid you not the song playing was " silence is golden"

ha we giggled.







arrived at Applecross road .. obligatory picture..

however, I set the camera up on the other side of the road on 10 second delay .. ran back for the pic...

so moved it nearer as 100m sprint is not my forte suprisingly.




and we were set for off. we had heard so much about this treachorous road and were quite scared. ..

but it was enjoyable..

folk lore..lies or tall tales..?

it really was not that bad and really enjoyable. granted it was a lovely day and i WOULDNT ATTEMPT IT IN THE RAIN OR FOG..

but twas fun..













so we arrived at Applecross .. for the most expensive half a shandy ever and the best view I have witnessed in a long while..
























back the long way down the coast road.. bumped in to Fred and Wendy and had a lovely half hour chat to them


and then we passed these lovely folk.. awww.. I played the wedding march on my horn..




and parked up back in Plockton..

a pint calling me .. so shower and change and off for food and beer...

lovely little chippy.. 20 minute wait but OHHH the best fish ever.. (EVEN BETTER than my previous best .. in padstow and Rick Steins)..

we had fish n chips PEAS. (cos it up north and I can get them here.. ) and Gravy .. (same ) yum yum.. a a can of coke and a can of dandelion and Burdock.. mm instantly transformed back to being 8 years old..

just sat on the slipway .. so lovely and romantic and time just slipped away as the tide slowly came in .. bliss. sharing the chips and being with the best woman in the world..

so it was then a case of walk around and take loads of pics..

had to bend back a few of the flowers on the left to get this one nice..






then lay on the floor.. ha.. madness!





played around with throwing a stone and trying to get the splash

decided maybe the ripple of the stone in the foreground might look better






shamelessly set this up too.. bit of drift wood and some rope and lay on the floor..

lots of good opportunities with old rusty stuff
