Well, you find a forum that costs nothing, but is full of impressionable people

Is this the under 16's section?

Good point and I guess that this was not directed at any one member. By the way akbarhussain - out of mindless unrelated curiosity - what do you ride?[quote

Most likely a forum member with another logon for use during sensitive/trolling subjects.

Nah must be mad no one would ever do that

El Boc - I take your point, but isn't that really a job for the Mods or Admins ??

After all I assume that they have tools that the rest of us can only dream of (I'm talking about Mod & Admin privileges naturally !!) for easily checking the number of posts, time, subject etc.

BTW - Who WAS the geezer you saw riding a red Ducati in Malaga ??

Was it PH on a day trip ??

Still with the deliberate misunderstanding I see. Some halfwits think the way that article does, but not many.

But, as I say it's a simple matter of record that the CIA were involved in training the muj in guerilla warfare, terrorist methods, covert operations, evasion, communications, and networking, and established the infrastructure that allowed a formerly totally disparate group of what were fundamentally armed gangs, to unite. They then sat back and watched as the mujahaddein led Afghanistan down a fundamentalist path, using the training and structure that they had been given to fight the soviets. Then suddenly it's a shock when "15 years later", as you say, it's a centre for muslim fundamentalism.

The US government chose muslim fundamentalism as a counter for soviet expansion, and gave the muj the tools they needed to fight a superpower... It's simply not a matter of debate.

That's a horrible thing to say!

I think you need to credit your fellow forum users with a little more intelligence, to be honest- I don't think we're suddenly going to turn into radicalised fundamotorcylists somehow. You asked "why this forum"- well, people have been talking about it for 6 pages, so "why this forum" would be "because this forum wants to talk about it".

It's pretty civil, it's work-safe, it's not offensive... What's the problem?

Some people seem to get annoyed about political discussions.

I am actually interested in hearing what other people say though. I am interested in peoples opinion's. It helps me with my stereotyping. Ahem. Ignore that. No, seriously, there are a few lads spouting moronic stuff, the same moronic stuff you have heard a thousand times, and then along comes someone with some well put together retort, battering of the nutcase's rhetoric. Saves me from thinking. Always a good thing. I can stash it away in my arsenal, and whip it out when needs be.

If you are looking to save bandwidth, be annoyed with the word association thread. Or the Where will I put my bed in my room thread. Or something. There are plenty of pretty brain dead threads knocking around. Political ones, on the other hand, are often interesting.

Top Man El Boc.....

The problem with Internet forums is that you get users who continually post for the sake of getting a reaction.

Although much better mannered than the 2 people that have been permanently banned, the format is much the same, and IMPO, adds no value to the community at all.

But maybe I'm a closet white supremacist and don't even realise it
