While you were all fiddling with your nuts ... and bolts I was having the best ride of the year. The sun was out, the roads were mostly dry and for the first time I felt confident enough to lean off the bike. I didn't go anywhere special, just here and there.

I brought a bottle of paraffin while I was out, tomorrows going to be the first time I've ever had to clean the chain.

The bottle of Paraffin is to celebrate with after you've cleaned the chain?

It could turn out that way if I get my cup of paraffin mixed up with my cup of coffee.

RIP to that spider and his/her web. His/Her death was quick and harmless at 130kph.

How many miles on the chain without cleaning it?

I keep mine nice and clean, gold links and all that

If its nice tomorrow I shall probably go out for a spin

20 odd thousand on the OEM one before the front sprocket teeth turned in hooks. A few thousand on this new (DID?) gold blingy one. Up till about September last year my bike was in constant use because it was my only form of transport. That meant Scotoil was always being poured over it, but now that it's only a weekend toy a bit of surface rust has formed. Since the weather looks rubbish tomorrow I'm going to give the chain a scrub and rinse the bike over from today's rather salty outing.
