It was too hot in the car today coming back from visiting my folks in Norfolk. And that was in a car with the a/c on full blast!

Looks like I'm not going to be able to make it now. Too many things clashing with not enough time off work. I don't mind leaving my money in the pot though if anyone else wants to go?

Well, with all that's been going on lately I've not had the chance to get out and recce any routes for the BPW so far. I'll try and do it if I get the opportunity otherwise we'll revisit some previous routes and make up the rest as we go. I may well be in the middle of a house move fairly soon so I'll be juggling frantically to fit everything in.

Not to worry Gary. The scenery and company will be great however fancy the route. Just bear in mind - your reputation for finding goat tracks will not go down too well with Hugh's tubed tyres and basic suspension...

Well I was going to go out and do a bit of a pre-BPW recce tomorrow but we have some long-overdue rain forecast for most of the day, so I'll wait for the drier weather to return.

I'm going to have to duck out of this weekend. I'm not happy doing it but my wife is struggling with her MS at the moment and I'm worried about leaving her. She seems to have taken a turn for the worse this summer and struggles to move from the sofa to the scooter and then the loo. I'm having to intervene far more often to either help lift or rescue her. If she falls while I'm away it's going to take me too long to get back.

At the time I signed up for this my son was at home but he's now living in Brighton, my daughter would also help but she's on holiday that weekend.

My apologies for this last minute announcement but I've been tossing this over in my mind for weeks now.
