Yes I bought one from NadineDieBiene as she had bought a new one when her alternatior packed up thinking it was the reg/rec. £25 quid to you, or a brand new pattern one that cost 70 quid. £45 to you, plus postage on either. Any good? Was that what was wrong with your bike then Keith?

Haha just read through the Ducatisistifistifeefifum forum and mentioned a 848 convert. I think that is both myself and Smeggons. Love that bike. Long way off for me though Maybe a year haha

Me too - these clothes I'm wearing keep me nice and toastie in my car!

Sounds like you had a goodun. Swines. It would be nice to see EAR not go into complete and utter hibernation - if there's a rest point on a ride that close enough then I'd be up for popping out for a cuppa.

Sounds like you need to arrange a cuppa/natter meet then K and we will all have our own rideouts to get there - well volunteered

I think Kerri will be wanting her own bike by then, in that case. Tried sitting on an 848...............it is NOT designed for pillions, that's for sure. Give Kerri your SV

Yeah the pillion seat does look a little sparse

Cheers Pete,

Give me a couple of days to go through the usual checks to make sure it's not something simple like a loose conection and to check my voltages.

Just stuck a meter on my bike.....getting 13.5v on tick over which rises to 14v at high revs.

With everything off I checked the positive termainal to the swingarm pivot....this is showing little resitance....so me thinks I've got a dodgy wire somewhere.

Dunno if that's good or bad news Keith.

Finding a dodgy connection could be time consuming and frustrating. Think I'd have preferred to just change the reg/rec.

Thought you should be getting a bit more charge when it's revving. 15.5 or summit.

Good luck.
