I found with mine if I didnt thrash it, it used to oil the plug up and then when I did get on the throttle again it used to do a passable impression of a bonfire out of the exhaust.

Yeah , if you bimble about on them around town and then headed out to somewhere faster you would leave a billowing cloud of 2 Stroke to confuse your racing buddies

That's oil collecting in the exhaust, which doesn't get hot enough to burn it off on short runs. Get the exhaust hot and u gotta get on the gas to stay far enough ahead of the fumes not to get addicted...

Seems to oil up the planet pretty quickly, but it hasn't been on the road for a caning yet so it's to be expected.
The RD400 just smokes like a demon. Cagiva has a fresh pair of avon vipers on it, so it should stick well according to berlins review of them.
