I think the OP is from Northern Ireland, so UK rules still apply. If he's practicing wheelies on private land he's not obliged to have tax, insurance or a driving license.

However, the 1991 Road Traffic Act made it a requirement to have tax and insurance in public places. So, even on a private road you still require tax and insurance if there is a public right of way. Obviously, the chance of being caught is pretty small unless someone complains. I don't know how it works in NI, but the only private roads around here are full of the sort of people who know the Chief Constable personally. And they've got nothing better to do than complain, so I wouldn't be practicing my wheelies round there!

Keith.

get a dirt bike, nice pokey 2stroke. I learnt on the DT but tbh never even tried it on the SV doesnt seem clever on the roads. kids who see it prob think your cool but anyone with a drivers licence wil prob jus think ur a ****.

as for the op, you go ahead anywhere you like an wheelie mate, knock your self out.. no really please knock yourself out. RIding without insurance puts you somehwere between a wasp and a magpie for c**tness IMO.

Has anyone seen a spanner? I know I saw one round here somewhere!

Build a brick wall at the end of a runway or Private Road and ride as fast as you can into it ..... just in case it doesn`t stop you , make it quite a few bricks thick . Never in all my years have I seen somebody that was actually worthy of being taken off a bike .

By the way if you were such a "BadBoy" on a bike you would know how to do all this stuff , is there some 14 year old girl you are trying to impress outside of a School somewhere ?

I knew somebody like you once , he wasn`t that bad a lad in reality , so sometimes he chatted more crap than a baby could fill a nappy and his stories were quite exaggerated . He had no insurance and reckoned he could do all this stuff , bought quite a shonky old ThunderCat from somebody and rode it illegally , pulled a few wheelies on the road til his fork seals gave out . He crashed it big style and hit some innocent people in a car , they are ok now but he doesn`t look so cool anymore . Somebody hasn`t been around to tidy his grave up for a while .

WHAT A LOAD OF MALE COW EXCRETION-----------LEAVE THE PLONKERS AND THEY MAY CRAWL BACK UNDER THE STONE THEY CAME FROM.

I am only expressing my thoughts and it seems the same as a lot of people, but disassociation from people who give biking a bad name is quite a good way to get rid of them.

Lots of negative reaction to wheelies.... They are addictive and fun. Not good showing off though as eventually you come unstuck. Here's how I learnt: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MbxsPD_f8fY

I don't have any strong feelings against wheelying as such, even more so if they are being done off main roads etc.

I do have strong feelings about people riding without insurance etc, from bitter experience with an uninsured driver who also claimed he couldnt read etc, really messed us around and was most annoying. Also these people give insurance companies an excuse to hike our premiums, imho
