It does what Windows should be able to do, but can't because it is slowed up by Virus threats and thus Virus software.

Also it sticks a big finger up to Bill Gates and tells him that a teeny tiny percentage of the world don't like his company very much!

My system has all the functions a good Desk top should have and the added bonus of it being safer to use because there are very few, if any, virus out there that effect it.

Not really, I have it set to click and hold scrolly wheel on the desktop to move it with the mouse or scroll up/down to swap between virtual desktops. Or you can just select one of the virtual desktops from the bottom taskbar. Once you've got used to multiple virtual desktops (I have 6 at work, 2 on one monitor and 4 on the other) its hard to go back to only one.

There are other neat features such as any window you can chose if you want it for example to stay on top or stay on the active desktop so you could be watching a video and swapping between desktops and the video stays with you.

On the downside flash is sh*te on linux and crashes/maxes out my CPU on my home PC (my work PC being quad core doesn't suffer so much) but hopefully HTML5 will send that sh*tefest to the deepest hell where it belongs.

Swapping between desktops is useful - I use it on Linux at work and OSX at home.

Doing it as some ghey 3D cube thing is about as stupid as the old IRIX 3D filesystem where you fly around a la Jurassic Park.
