Hi Redmist, the project looks like its coming on well. I did the same about 12 month ago with an 03. They are great on the track and super in the corners. The key is to get rid of as much weight as possible as the 650 dosent have as many ponies as the 600`s that are going round. Its all about power to weight so if you dont need take it off. Mine feels like a push bike compared to my mates R6.
Keep your eye out on ebay, i managed to get a full alloy front and rear sub frame, save about 10kg`s.
on the rubber side, i got a full set of michelin super sticky front and rear, can remember the nunber but that are the best ive ever had, never had a moment and the stick like s#@t even at cold temps and in the wet. £170 for the pair fitted from shop on the A64 Leeds.

Hope it goes well and see you at a trackday.

Sounds great, which tracks do you get to mostly?

We are only two weeks away from our first one this year, I've been getting the miscellaneous bits ready this weekend. Got two new wheels with tyres for the trailer. Got a 20 Litre jerry can brimmed. Need to test out both bikes on trailer this week and then start making lists of all the kit to take with us on the day.

Looks like we are abandoning SVGTI's front fairings for now, gonna try run without clocks.... we will see.

There's a good track day check list stickied at the top of the track days page.

Having run out of time to fit SVGTI's fairings, we took desperate measures and did a pointy to curvy transplant!!
Cue the gasps of horror!!! Think it looks alright tho!!

(So looks like we'll be ready for March 2nd, lets hope the cold snap will have been and gone by then!)

Killing time till next weekend, made some quick infills for the headlight holes.
Made them out of my favourite top secret material.

Long may it stay in one piece!!!!!
