Something to bring a smile to all but Rossi fans, a quote lifted from eurosport....

The performance of the new Desmosedici GP6 will certainly have sent a few shivers down the spines of their rivals as Gibernau's time was over a tenth quicker than last year's pole time, set by Capirossi, and over a second quicker than Nicky Hayden's official lap record of 2:02.993.

Maybe.

I hope he does do well though, along with some of the other young and upcoming talent. Rossi needs to be pushed and I want to see the season go down to the wire.

I would like to see Hayden win in, or even Edwards but a realistic punt is Rossi (obviously) and Melandri.

Yeah...Gibernau was good at getting poles and setting quick laps last year...Won some German car...but....

My MotoGP winner is Max Biaggi who replaces some bloke because of injury and becomes champ in a Gregorio Lavilla stylee.

Told ya.

Taken from Suberbike but this could not have helped Colin's preparation. during the test at Sepang.

For whats its worth my opinon is that Rossi and Melandri will fight for the early races, The Ducatis will be up there only if Bridgestone have sorted their tyre out so that it gives a consistent level of performance at every circuit. Once Pedrosa has got his confidence up after a couple of races I think he is going to be fast as will Stoner if he stays on his bike. I think that Vermulen and Hopkins will be dogged by technical problems on the Suzuki. I'd like to see James Ellison do well it'll be good to see a Brit up at the front of the pack. On a personal level I''d like to see Colin Edwards run consistently at the front of the field, hes proved he can do it at Laguna in 2005 he just need to get better at bike setup IMHO, he is Mr Consistent though which shows in his 2005 championship position. Nicky Hayden is to me a constant disappointment. Hes never fulfilled his promise and I think he'll lose his ride if he doesnt get results this year.

One thing about Vermulen, I think that there will be 2 or 3 races where the Suzuki will be competitive, and those will be the ones where he gets the odd podium. Don't write him off just yet.

So, predictions for WSB ??

Max Biaggi still has not seccured a ride, and Alstare Suzuki have confirmed that he will NOT be riding a 4th bike in their team....

"Biaggi told Crash.net Radio that he was 'going to talk more [with Alstare] this week', he later told his personal website that 'despite everybody efforts, there aren't the necessary technical guarantees that would allow me to fight on equal terms in a very competitive championship'. Negotiations between team and rider are ongoing"

As always, he wants his cake, and everybody elses too....

Muggeridge and JT have had a good test session at Almeria, Muggers being a fraction quicker by .4 sec... JT will get there I'm sure.

Neukirchner's out and Barros is in at Klaffi Honda... Klaffi say they can't afford to support 2 riders, and Honda have subsidised Barros' ride.

Not a lot being said about the other exiles from Moto GP...
