Jonboy you are not wrong ! Going though the process of buying a new house at the moment , and all these supposed 'independent financial advisers' that link themselves to estate agents - bloody useless . They make a big play of how they can get special rates and deals , cobblers ! Found a better deal than any of them could offer me by myself , do your homework , put a little effort in and save yourself a nice few quid .
...and get a good lawyer
i agree totally with this statement!! i used a financial adviser when i had my first house in 1989 when i was a weee lad, and all she did basicly was advise me to have an endowment mortgage!!!! stupid i know but i took the advice!!!
9 years later after paying nowt off the house because the endowment was'nt worth the money i'd evan pay'd in i moved and did all the financial work myself and switched to a repayment mortgage. i dont evan want to think how much the adviser charged me the first time round . SO look into it yourself and do it yourself its easy, just get a good solicitor.
