Yea higher pressure would probably be the cause (unless there was diesel hidden there?).
Higher pressure will mean that the front will not distort as much with the weight of breaking meaning that the contact with the road will have been reduced, making slipping more likely... Sounds like you might have found the mistake there! ![]() Well at least we all know not to do that now mate, just a real Shame you had to suffer to find that one out ![]() What was it that made you decide to go that hard in the front? |

Broken collar bone - I've had that - it's very annoying!
I hope you heal soon. Take it REAL easy for the first week or so. Sleeping will be hard. I got back ache because I could only lie flat and not move. It's also very important to take the physio seriously! Bad luck and I hope the recovery goes smoothly. |

What a hero.
![]() 120miles with a broken collarbone. Less painful than looking at your bike though for you though I bet. ![]() Was a bit concerned about your ride home so glad to hear it went without further incident. Re claiming on insurance. At least if you go for the 650 the reduction in group (15 to a 10 innit? ) will soften the premium. Also I wouldn't mention, in a fit of honesty, about the front, just in case. Not saying it was that but you know what insurance companies are like. Any excuse to reduce the payout. My mate when he broke his collarbone found sleeping in a reclining easy type chair worked best for the 1st couple of weeks. GWS |
