Personally I'm not going to think about anyone else except my family over Christmas, sympathies for others can take a back seat for a change

My only gripe is the cost of this time of year, some things will never change

Mate do what I did this year & get a Cashplus sterling card. Post office & Co-Op also do these cash cards.

I paid £50 a month into it and then gave it to the missus to use for Christmas presents.

Its a Christmas Club that no one can run away with

Its not a credit card, as you can only spend whats on it, but you can still use it online.

Saves getting mahoosive credit card bills after Christmas.

I've been sensible not to link it too my EBAY account

Was the stock available for sale, or just ready for Boxing Day?

Agree there Mavicap, our great grandfathers fought and fought to get holidays for the working man,and bit by bit we've gone backwards to the 1920s,my sister in law has got to work Boxing Day and she's got kids at home,no choice told to do it!!!

Yep, couldn't believe it when i also heard that my local Morrison's is open on Boxing Day as well.

If you haven't got enough food & drink to last until Monday the 29th, then what have you been doing the last month.

Food shopping on Boxing Day!!!

I know some people might be happy working on Boxing Day, but why do families break up and why is Christmas no longer special.

If the Germans had won the war, then perhaps we would have worked to their ethics, they dont open their shops on public holidays, and probably most of Europe either.

Its nuts IMHO

In Germany, shops are not allowed to open after 16:00 on Saturday or at all on Sunday. The only exceptions are bakers and ice cream parlours (wierd eh!).

Walking around the shops, you overhear quite a few people who say. Oh can't drink, got to etc because I'm working boxing day..
Sad really.
