Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Received a bag of shiny engine bolts from Mr Chewy, beautifully sorted and documented. Gathered all my tools and went outside. Picked up Bolt #1 from Bag A and didn't have the right socket available. Became distracted by the thought of cold beer in the fridge, which summarily ended all maintenance for the day.

Checked the valve clearances. All four exhaust valves out of spec.

They were checked 10k miles ago so it's quite possible they've moved since then. I didn't get to the bottom of the running issue so getting into it far enough to adjust the valve clearances gives me a chance to check everything out. |

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Drilled out the we bolt holding the baffle in my 'new to me' can for the gixxer.
Re'tapped the hole and fitted new stainless M5 cap. Ready for fitting after work tonight. Will never sound as good as the SV but better than OE exhaust.
