Wow, what a group! Looking forward to the 28th! I've missed loads of big group track days. Always something else going on the same day. My last track day I rode crap though, too nervous I think. Any tips on the day would be much appreciated

Relax, In novice the first session with no limits is no overtaking or something strange like that, try and grab an instructor for the second session... you will achieve much more from the day.

Yea, with no limits in the novice group the first session is slow and no overtaking. Best bet is to get up pit lane as soon as they call so you are behind an instructor and can follow their line. If at any time you want instruction, pull in and go down pitlane, ask for an instructor and go back out. Mallory is an easy and nice circuit anyway, you'll be flying by the end of the day!

I'm thinking along the basis of it probably will be wet... if anything better than wet then bonus.

At least if its wet it wont be frosty

. damp I can live with, side ways rain and swamped track I might find a little daunting. I'm right in thinking I'm better with a nearly new rear than a nearly dead one right? I reckon my rear's about 500 miles off. Still nice and sticky to the touch but treads getting a wee bit shallow
