I am not a fan of chilli, can't remember the last time I saw Dave eat one either. He can cook a fair few dishes, he moans I never put the sauce pans back in the right place but he still manages. Makes a lovely spag-bol, carbonara, lasagna, chicken dishes, and all sorts. All from scratch too.

He is actually a good man really, I guess doing what he does and by enjoying the job makes him into somebody that is hard to understand. At home he is a gentle giant, with my niece and nephew he is loving and caring, and yet when he goes off he does some unthinkable things. We met when I was in the Navy, I attended to one of his team members when they came back on deck, and I knew what these men were like but he had something about him afterwards. When everything cooled down he was just another man on a ship, not hot headed or gun-ho like some seem to think they are. I know what happened that day, and of all the people on the ship coming home he would have been the last person I would have picked to of been in control in that situation. Like I say, he is hard to understand and predict as he switches on and off, but deep down he is a kind and loving gentleman. |
