Best I can suggest then if you have any doubts about leaks is to fasten it all up ready for bleeding and then clean everything down spotless. Any new leaks and you'll be able to see them.

Personally I've never opened banjos at the top of the system during air bleeding, I prefer to keep everything sealed shut and ensure the air moves upwards to the res.

If I had the time I'ld come over and help but my bike is in a thousand pieces and I'm racing it next Sunday . Sheffield is a little too far for me to pop over unfortunately. If you can move the bike and fancy a drive I would be happy to pull it into my garage and sort it.

Might be easier to get it to a local bike mechanic though and call it a day.

I took my pistons out for a clean on Friday.

Went to bleed and couldn't get any pressure at the levr.. Fluid was coming out but no pressure.

So with fluid in the pipe I'd put on the bleed nipple, I cracked the nipple open, blew has hard as I could down the tube and you could see bubbles coming out into the reservoir. All of a sudden I got a firm lever.

The leaning over works as well.

Try squeezing the rubber hose between reservoir and lever. This produced a lot of bubbles for me after leaning side to side.

Did mine from empty for 3 days in 10 mins Dave, you jealous?

This might make you jealous.

It was the first time I did it

Technique in my book said, press lever a few times rapidly and then hold in, release bleed nipple and, once at end of its stroke, close and repeat until just fluid is coming out. Squezzed the pipe in between cylinder and lever, that did produce some bubbles for me. Hope you get it sorted.

You are right, no little hose to reservoir on the naked. The S has a 'remote reservoir' to stop it fouling the fairing.

BTW I serviced and changed the fluid in Speedy's bike yesterday, lever is rock had now

grrrr!
I've decided to overhaul the lot it's literally driving me insane. New braided lines new caliper and possibly a new mastercylinder (although I've already renewed the internals in the mcylinder)

lol I don't blame you.

I just don't understand why it'll get pressure it'll push the pistons out, it'll hold pressure...but won't get any more pressure than a slightly stiff finger and thumb squeeze back to the bar. I've bled it every way there is and a mechanics spent a couple of hours trying to bleed it too. I've renewed the seals and piston in the mastercylinder argh
