I should have taken some piccies as we had the 8-12 inches of snow here in High Wycombe overnight. Took ages to dig out one of the cars so my wife could get to work.

Living on a hill (everyone does here!) it was tricky to get the car down to the road at the bottom which is a bus lane and therefore cleared by gritters (I assume). Getting it back up the hill into the drive took several wheelbarrow loads of rock salt that the council conveniently put in a box on the corner to get enough traction.

Thank fliip I had already booked the day off. Sledging for me all day with daughter and her mates. I'm knackered now.

I'm looking forward to some pics from our Canada and Apalachia-based bretheren. Your weather sounds spectacular! Perhaps you could send some of it to Ed as he sounds a tad jealous.

What, of your 8 - 12 inches? I'm sure I can match that

We are to have snow on Saturday evening and early Sunday morning but usually it's very wet snow and doesn't stick long.

went on the old push bike this morning not stupid enough too get the bike out for the certainty of dropping it although on the plus side i got some massive rear wheel slides going on.

Funnily enough, I drove up this road today (and yesterday) and saw a KTM parked next to a trumpet and thought to myself, I wonder if they are Rictus' bikes. This picture confirms my suspiscions (presuming this isn't too far away from a fairly well known football ground).

Not really had that much snow so far this December (only about 45 cm) and it has been too cold to take the camera out (below -40), but here is couple of pictures from last March. Hope to get up to the mountains over the holiday season so I will send some pictures from there

Theres a guy outside in his car trying to drive on the icy road. He's been wheelspinning forward a few inches at a time for the last half hour or so

Oh dear, he just got out to have a look at his tyres and he took a hell of a fall right on his ass I wish i had a vid cam to tape this, the noise he is making has the whole street looking out there windows at him

well the "certain death" of riding on ice seems to be not quite so certain, all you need is one good leg and a couple of tyres, Oh and a gentle throttle hand, works fine.
