Popped into the Leeds store today; picked up some new boots and kevlar jeans saving £100 off the lowest listed price.
According to staff they're selling off everything at set reductions to benefit the current owners. They'll either sell everything and close or be bought out at some point.

I went into the Dudley store today and there was still quite a lot of stuff there. Most of it was 20% off but some only 10%. would have loved to have bought a new lid and some nice new leathers but had wife with me and we have kids to feed seemingly!!!!
Thought about buying some kit for the kids but it didn't seem worth it if I'm honest.

A good buy - that's a cracking lid and in a decent set of colours if you're into that kind of thing.

I picked up a set of two-piece leathers for the track today, to replace the manky old hideously mismatched bought-in-an-end-of-line-sale set I've been wearing for the last howevermany year. £275 for a full set of leathers that seem to fit. I even apologised at the counter, saying it felt like theft, not purchase. If it wasn't for the staff picking up kit cheap as well, I'd feel guilty taking it off their hands.

Apropos of which, they're waiting to hear at the end of the month which stores, if any, are being picked up. The Stockwell branch is starting to look a bit barren, thanks to the near-half-price sale they've got going on now. I've never seen it so busy either, which perhaps says something about past vs current pricing. They could probably stay open til 8 ever night and still be busy.

30% off lids, as much as half price on anything else, with the odd Manager's Special to tip the balance. The branch I was in really is looking a bit empty - they're turning every asset they have into cash, presumably so they can consolidate whatever's left in howevermany branches stay open beyond the end of the month.

It's less a question of price now, and more a question of whether they have anything in your size left. I'm usually lucky in that I'm not too skinny and (contrary to appearance) not too fat, so there's always something in the 50/52 size range left for me to pick up in a sale. But whatever shape you are, it's worth popping in to see if you can get a bargain. Not least because it sounds like we're talking days, not weeks, for some of the remaining branches, and some have already closed.

Fingers crossed for Stockwell. They're a good bunch.
