Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
I've been invited to 'The Beast Feast' this evening.
A celebration in a nearby village with a feast where all the meat is of locally taken wild game, deer, turkey, bear, rabbit, squirrel, duck, fish, etc. They also give away lots of prizes. Should be an interesting evening so thought I might go (since it's been too cold, wet and windy to ride all weekend).

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
It should probably be a gripe, but chimpboy's struck again and it smelt SOOOOO GOOD!!!
Yeah, chimpboy left an opened packet of Haribo sweets in his cycling gear when he washed it today, lets just say there were no sweets left when I brought it out but the washing smelt EPIC!!! Suppose I better go wash it all again...

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
'The Beast Feast' was awesome!
Must say I was expecting some barely edible food for aquired tastes only, but I was more than pleasently surprized. Deffinately the best deer meat I've ever had (tenderloin, deep fried) and the thick sliced smoked turkey breast was a hit with everyone as well. I've never had wild game that tasted anywhere near that good. I guess it all depends on who's cooking it and how! This was a true culinary delight. Equally surprizing was the guest list which included all the 'who's who' in this part of the county. Politicians, business owners, socialites as well as locals from this tiny village. I don't how I got an invite but I got invited back again for next year. Not the crowd I was expecting to see at something called a 'Beast Feast' but a good time was had by all. What a night!

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
Customer adding more stuff to do in their bathroom as I'm refitting it, this isn't smile and not a gripe as a) it means I get paid more and b) means in need to get electrician and plasterer in so I have time to go do other jobs which means I earn more
Win win for me!
