Once the jury's decision is known, assuming it's a verdit of guilty then death by mob mentality sounds about right IMO. That would serve to show the public in general, that the justice system will work. Anyone found guilty of an offence of this magnitude will not be given a life long holiday! Might help to keep the mob at bay until the verdict is know as well.

My whole point above, is that far too many people are assuming the media reports are the truth. I'd hate to persecute the wrong person. Wouldn't you?

Yes - Baph has it right we are all quick to jump to conclusions which can be lead by the facts we read. But assuming innocence wouldn't make the threads half as interesting now would they.

No simple answer to that question - if there was then it would have been thought of already. Essentially what I was getting at however, is that if al that's stopping people from committing a crime is the threat of a streach behind bars then for what ever reason, that person is already quite some way down the wrong path.

Its a type of Justice.

There are two types of justice in my eyes. the one the courts dish out , and natural justice, for example some pedo is let go and then stabbed one night. To me the latter is far more deserving justice. wrightly or wrongly that is my belief.

No because they were racist bigots who had made up their mind beforehand. If you were black you were guilty.

In this case i think we are debating a mob dishing out justice if she is found guilty, as the justice system will fail to give a sutible punishment in most people eyes

Well most seem to have made up their minds in this case already, so that's the first comparison confirmed.

As for justice not being carried out, shes not even been convicted yet, so what the hell do you base that on?

As in IF she is found guilty and given say a silly lean sentance like 3 months etc THEN i would concider justice not done and be full backing mob justice.
