Everyone more racist than me is a racist. Anyone less racist than me is a limpwristed Guardian reading sandal-wearing PC gone mad lunatic. Sorted.

Thats my point. Not having a sense of humour is no reason to impose your pc nonsense on everyone else. The Mexicans should just laugh and send back some equally insulting jokes about the British.Lets face it We and the French have been happily insulting each other for ever and a day,but I still secretly admire them and they think the sun shines out of our &rses Im sure.

That would be a reasonable ripost if that's what I suggested. But I actually suggested "a reasonable well balanced group of people" a bit like a jury system. That way you get a consensus rather than me or you or any other individual defining the event.Sorted.

People who are PC and non-racist have never had to live in an area mainly populated by ethnic minorities - discuss

PC AND non-racist, or PC OR non-racist. You can disagree with one without becoming the other.

Can you be a politically correct racist?

You could say something along the lines of "I hate those illegitimate black people" and still retain a vestige of political correctness whilst still making a racist comment, I suppose.

Last week, gettin on the train on a Saturday night from London. Four lads aged (35-50) probably, beers in hand, just been down from up North to watch an away footy game.

For some reason they were hurling abuse at a middle aged black woman. Along the lines of 'go back up in your trees' and something about bananas. They were pretty loud too as I overheard it walking past on the platform.

I thought they were racist.

Course you can. Pretending there's no difference between ethnic groups is racist.
