I see the bids are climbing on the Lightomatic.

Yeah they're both going up a bit. Frustratingly, there are a number of busted Lynxes in the US but the postage to UK is ridiculous. I had hoped a relative was going to be able to sort me out with one but it's not looking very likely. Think the Beauty is going to go high, too high.
Keep an eye on Poundland, there was a story in the paper today about them maybe being bought out as I think they are in some trouble. It's our only source of really cheap film, might have to stock the freezer if they wobble too much! |

Got my Nettar today. As suspected it works fine. There is fungus on the inside of the lens. Best to unscrew rear element and clean that way?

It's a Cooke triplet so it depends which of the three lenses has the fungus!

Should be easy, slacken the grub screws holding the focus ring to the front element and take it off, then unscrew the front element. You can send it up if you like, it'll need collimating afterwards so I'd need the whole thing unless you want to do that bit.

Same as for a 35mm, put something like a piece of ground glass against the film plane then open the shutter on B (aperture wide open) and set the lens to the same distance as an object in focus. The distance in question is to the film plan, not the lens, I usually use 5ft/1.5m. For scale focus it's a few minutes' work so I don't mind doing it.

Did you win??? Removed the gunk from the Nettar lens and just need to collimate.
Yoko, did you receive the XA3?
