Default Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

I remembered what annoyed me last night! At a pay at pump petrol station, whip out my card, ram it in the card slot, fire off my pin and start to fill up. Suddenly the pump stops and a lady over the tannoy tells me to take off my helmet, to pump fuel, that I have already paid for. So after some gesturing I took off my helmet, but as it was cold I was wearing my balaclava, however apparently this is fine as the pump was reactivated, so what was the point of this?

Simples:
a) It put you in your place
b) She had the happiest Valentines she's had in years.

Rules is Rules. Rules say take off helmet. Rules do not say take off balaclava too. So that's OK then. Feckin jobsworh idiots.

She was on automatic mode, they've been told to enforce it, even though you've validated your card & would be paying for the fuel.

Stems from riders not paying for fuel.

Bet she doesn't even know why, she just has to, even if you had a flip front helmet.

Its been mention on here before, just accept it & move on, its not worth worrying about.

I didn't make a fuss as it's not the end of the world, just the futility of it made peeved me. I forgot what had annoyed me last night and only remembered today, which is about how much it affected me
It's not a station I use often but it's not like I care enough not to go back there, I'm sure she'll be beyond caring by the next time I'm there!

The poor observational skill of the silver Ford driver who nearly side swiped a VFR into the central reservation on the A13 this morning because they didn't check their blind spot before moving from lane two to three.

The rider of the VFR on the A13 this morning that sat alongside a car long enough to nearly get side swiped when they changed lane.......

The VFR was in a line of three bikes. Two had already passed the Ford and then driver just pulled out into lane three. The VFR was already in the process of passing the Ford.
