My kerry much prefers to pillion on the 600rr than she ever did on the SV, for comfort and smoothness.

But if you want to take it as a slight have fun there.

Hmmm Well if you care to do those speeds in those gears then enjoy but you wont accelerate as well as if you shift at around 14K RPM in which case my Calculations are all very real world.

I see. Then I suppose the 600's are the ones to have if it is comparable in mid range to those.

I am a smaller person yes. But I think people miss read my post's sometimes... I didnt mean anything nasty.

I have done 8000 miles in the last 6 months so I know my bike... I think.

I do like to wind people up though... seems to work too well sometimes... touch a nerve on here I think though i didnt aim to wind up on this thread. . I dont presume the Falco is the best bike on the road. I just know its a damn good one. My fav so far out of the bikes ive road... Why I have one I guess.

Man im sorry Mr Kwak I seem to have found myself in trouble How's the long ride gone? You got rid of those Chicken strips? First thing on my list on a bike like that if I was to get it

P.S. The only thing Ive read that irritates me a little is people saying 600's have a usable mid range. Yes you can cruise at it.. but would you dream of comming out of a corner in 4th at 50mph and hope to get a good drive? Id say not. Or overtaking in 6th gear at 40mph? Flame me if you feel you need to.
You know what irritates me? When people like you throw comments around like

when you yourself bought a bike as you state in your "my new bike" thread openly admitting that your Dad had to ride it home for you and that you couldn't ride it until 11th Feb. Chill out little boy.

I give up then... Your clearly not willing to share your views on your new bike with me. Hope you enjoy it. Im sorry I upset you so much, do beg pardon for that, not really my intension... just wind you up a little maybe . Worked a little too well.

No didnt manage to ride it, id ridden another though before hand so i knew what it could be... just not the one I bought.

Greek, Falcos are **** full stop!! Seriously how can you think a IL4 is characterless, I have never felt bored once on mine so far ,it begs to be ridden i na way the SV and most twins can only dream off. TBH the only thing a twin engine is better at is a little extra low down pull and the exhaust noise. But even that is waining now as the howl scream and induction roar of a IL4 is starting to get the better of the V twin thump.

And people still claim the SV has far more mid range, i am sure Blue posted somewhere and proved its the same. However the midrange on a 4 is near the rev limit of a SV.

Oh man. I never claimed that IL4's are slow a fool would do that. 4 stars out of 5 is pretty good though thank you .

I also never claimed a SV650 had a better mid range than a SS600. That would be like compairing a fiesta Diesel to a LeMons race car (different level of tune). A 600 compaired to a bigger bike though is another story... No one buys a 600 for a mid range... it has one in a sense but I bet you wouldn't ride on it to go fast...

You need to try a performance big V-twin (you probably have...) they do beg to be ragged about. Takes some self control not to.

Anyway where the hell is Kwak with his write up on his new bike? I havnt noticed him about in a few days (I might just be blind...).

Well given mine revs to 16.5K til the red line and 20K before it will blow, mid range can reasonably be considered 9-12K? Trust me you pin mine open at those reve you better hols on tight, then come back and tell me it lacks mid range!

Yes Kwak tell us more about your new bike! You should go try a 750 now, just to see if the difference would have been worth it

+1. I still miss the surge from my 07 plate Ninja. What a beautyiful noise and 172mph indicated. my lord that was quick. Never felt the Ninja lacking in any department speed of power wise. Regularly had the front wheel up from lights. Nice. Good choice on the GSXR Kwak. Great bikes, comfy and agile to boot. My favourite colours as well. We all have our own choices of bike but lets not argue about why ours is better or worse than Kwaks. Just be happy that the man has got a sweet bike and is chuffed with it. Peace to you all.

I had a K6 600 for a loaner one day when my 750 was being serviced.

750 pulls harder from lower down, but apart from that there wasnt a huge amount of difference I found.

Its noticeable though and I realy appreciate the extra torque and BHP when I'm feeling lazy as I dont have to stir the gearbox quite so much as I found I had to on the 600.

Also the 750 is taller geared I think, so you get extra MPH in the gears, but then 600 rev's higher before you hit the limiter I think...

Last im going to put on this... Here are the dyno's for the 2007 spec 600's... Apparently yours stops reving at 15.5K. It has been known for the revs counters to lie (R6, SV1000 [10K rev limit on those not 11]) so yours may too. Max power is at ~13K rpm so reving past is almost pointless unless you are avoiding a gear change between corners...

Mid range will be about 7-8K rpm so around 50BHP.

Right ill leave it now. You clearly enjoy your bike im sure you notice I like mine, lets just leave it there now?

I am sorry for being a **** about this... I really am, gone too far on my part.

Go out have fun and enjoy what you have.
