Genuine Question,
When playing football last week I got polaxed - it was actually a fair tackle, certainly no complaints by me. Yet the bloke making the tackle felt the need to instruct "Whiteboy pussy, Get up". This caused zero reaction from me as we were already winning convincingly with little time left to play, I simply put it down to stroppy git syndrome.
Move on a few minutes and the final whistle blows, shaking hands etc at the end and when I took the refs hand he pulled me in and said "Im glad you didnt react to his insult, it'd have been a massacre", whilst gestering to the side of the pitches where many more asiens were grouped.
My question is, Obviously the ref heard it - so why wasnt anything done?
Things to consider, we're in Bradford and the venue had about 30% white, the rest of coloured persuasion.
we were playing a 100% asain team
They generally bring a group of spectators to thier games.

And another question for the mighty org:
Clearly the remarks made by the player were racially motivated,
Clearly the ref was aware,
However imagine I reacted, slotted him one. I ask you who gets to ride home in the car with flashing lights on? (assuming of course the massacre doesnt occur where we'd have all left in ambulances).

Matt, this happened to my team I used to play for in the mid 90's, my best mate took exception to a tackle made by one the Asians we was playing, he tw4atted one of them, the wrong one I might add , he waited until the next player to come by him then elbowed him straight on the nose.
It kicked off big time, they had a load of supporters even though we was at home, we had a few ex Zulus on our sidelines so it almost turned proper nasty.
They was supposed to be packing machetes allegedly, the guy my mate done with the elbow wanted to kill him, so at the end he ducked down in the back of my car
The good ol days eh

You, for assaulting someone... Provoked, sure, but that's not enough. You could have made a complaint though if you'd wanted, to the police or the match officials

See dispatches half way through on Channel 4 now, about kids getting beaten in Muslim schools.

Quotes from an assembly at an Islamic school in Birmingham.

"If a man has less than a fistful of beard, stay away from him, like you would stay away from a serpent or a snake"

"Allah says that those who do not believe him are the worst of all people"

Followed by a big rant about what pain you will endure and how you will be tortured when you enter heaven, if you copy white people and men shave off their beards or women remove their scarves.

Followed by a rant about the damage a Jew can do if he is your travelling companion, but not nearly as bad as a man who has less than a fistful of beard.

Catch it on C4+1 at 9pm.

Simple solution - don't play football in Islamabrad

Footballers fighting and calling each other names?
Obviously racism, who ever heard of such?

Read it again, it wasnt about how I felt or what I did (as I did nothing) it was my shock that the ref had heard it but made the decision not to do anything. It suggested he's used to it, and therefore used to doing nothing about it.

You'd think so, yes I could file a complaint but nothing would come of it. Its happened enough in the past that we know nothing comes of it. I've had league officials in the Thursday 5-a-side leauge I play, following a similar complaint where one of my players were spat at say "we cant exactly chuck the only asian team out of the league - we'd get closed down"

Lol, I see what you did there. Locally its recognised as Bradistan but Islamabrad works just as well.

On this occasion no fighting but you emphasise my point. Sadly at this level its a part of the game, all with the intention of provoking a reaction.
Although I do belive in the moment he meant the words he spoke, I dont for one second think he'd have spoken them had he not been frustrated himself, we still shook hands at the end and it was noticable that he and his team mates were quite deflated by the defeat. (9-2 I'd scored 5, not that its important I just wanted to gloat )
