Morti If I was you I would

Do my CBT
If you want a bike, get a geared one there are plenty of geared 125's out there, this will be good experience for when you do your DAS and move up.

I tend to agree with Squirrel, ridinga Scoot whilst will gain you road experience thats about all its going to teach you, you need to get experience of break, clutch and gear shift, IMHO

Though saying that you'l gain all that when you do your DAS anyway
